My name is Carolyn Murphy. I grew up with a military background and lived practically all over the world. I attended military schools until my father retired from the ARMY. When our family moved back to Oklahoma and I attended the following schools: Lone Star Elementary School, Allen Bowden Elementary School, Sapulpa Jr and High School, Sapulpa Vo-Tech for Nursing, and finally Platt College. I have been in the medical field since the age of 16 and worked my way up from being a nurse aide, medical assistant, to a certified medical assistant/ phlebotomist. I have been married to the love of my life (Billy Murphy) for 20+ years and we have 2 Daughters and 2 Grandchildren. In 2009, my family had a 3-car wreck that changed my life forever. My chest on the right side was crushed by the seat belt, this caused Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and IDC Breast Cancer. I am the author of: Trauma Caused My Cancer. I am also a proud member if the Tulsa Night Writers Club Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc. and The Oklahoma Writers Federal Inc.
